Salah O. Tayeh

Salah Tayeh is the CEO of terravertis. For two decades, Mr. Tayeh has been a regional innovative leader in professional and engineering services. He was one of the architects of the sustainability and energy efficiency movement in Jordan and the region.  He has spoken around the world on this critical issue and is frequently called upon to provide expertise to organizations and individuals focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency and social responsibility. 


An entrepreneur by nature, Mr. Tayeh has been able to articulate the build up and expansion of a small business (EMC, Jordan) mainly active in the Energy and Infrastructure, to a regional engineering services company. As EMC CEO, Mr. Tayeh transformed the company to uniform quality standards and consistent service delivery across 8 countries.


Mr. Tayeh also led the effort of partnership in new and emerging markets, primary goal has been to recognize business and market opportunities, equipping the organization to anticipate and respond to shifting market opportunities. Mr. Tayeh’s entrepreneurial leadership approach is that of a risk taker and innovator. He is also known for mentoring professionals and facilitating effective relationships and connections.

Mr. Tayeh holds a Finance and Int’l business degree from George Washington Univ. DC

Suzan Ziad Kilani 

Suzan obtained Bachelor degree in Modern Languages from Yarmouk University in Jordan therefore except of Arabic speaks French, English and Spanish. Previously she gained wide experience in sales and marketing specialized in advanced customer care and fundraising.

Suzan also has an extensive knowledge about enterprise development, supporting entrepreneurs and Corporate Social Responsibility. On the personal level Suzan is interested in global issues like poverty, global warming, women empowerment and education. She is a member of carious organizations like The Inner Wheel Club of Amman Petra (playing a role of president in 2008/2009) and Business and Professional Women Amman.

Suzan’s ambition is to develop Terra Vertis to become the leader in sustainability and CSR area in the MENA region.

Dima Maaytah

Ms. Maaytah is a senior strategic advisor at terravertis on risk associated with organizational responsibility, typically in the areas of, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability Management System (SMS) and Sustainable Development. 

She has developed SMS and CSR strategies for a number of organizations such as Greater Amman Municipality, Social Security Investment Unit, Excellence, Inc, and has worked with Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology, Aramex, Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Center, Nuqul Group, and Tamkeen for CSR Consultancy in Saudi Arabia as a consultant, she is an Associate with Article13 a leading international CSR and Social Marketing consultancy based in the UK, she is also an ISO 26000 for Social Responsibility Registered Representative.

Ms. Maaytah has developed, attended and taught in hundreds of continuing education programs focusing on leadership, business strategies, social responsibility management, innovation and governance, and is frequently called upon to provide expertise to organizations and individuals focusing on CSR and Sustainability. 
 
Ms. Maaytah is passionate about holistic health and wellness, green living, and CSR advocacy, and believes that everyone can make a difference.

Genell Wells Ebbini

Genell is a successful LEED-AP with experience managing and delivering the highest LEED certification on a building; Platinum, LEED-NC 2.2.  Her role on this project was LEED facilitator, LEED project coordinator, LEED project manager, LEED document manager and interior designer.  She has experience with LEED-NC, LEED-CI, LEED-ND and LEED-Homes.  Her professional experience is widespread as a principal designer, business owner, project manager, interior Architect, and president of a NGO.  She has an extensive background in sustainability and energy efficient design, construction and materials.

Genell’s experience and expertise with the LEED rating system showcases her ability to fully integrate sustainable design from conception to completion.  As a LEED-AP and interior architect she is skilled in understanding the challenges of LEED and executing distinct design solutions while staying within budget boundaries. As an interiors project manager, Genell has supervised project management operations during all design and construction phases.  Her background in business organization management has provided valuable experience in successfully managing team members. 

Genell has recently joined Terra Vertis’ team. She is now managing the implementation of solutions and strategies that aim towards excellence in the Built Environment. She is also involved in Contract Administration, RFP’s and LEED Specifications and Tender Documents. In addition, she provides training in Green Skills for Architect and Design  professionals in  the MENA region.

Ala'a Mar'i 

Ala’a is a Chartered Engineer with practical experience using his technical expertise to support businesses in becoming more sustainable and energy-efficient. He has successfully delivered a range of projects for some of the top commercial buildings in Jordan (large offices, restaurants, showrooms, hotels). Throughout his work he gained extensive experience especially in areas of facilities management; electrical and controls engineering; energy and environmental engineering, auditing and effective resource management. Ala’a also advises on how to achieve low-carbon building design and operations with sustainable energy solutions.

Ala’s is an enthusiastic individual interested in environmental issues and development of green buildings. He is interested in traveling, meeting new people, reading books, and discussing politics on occasion.

Pranay Krishen 

Pranay obtained a BSc in Integrated Engineering and Technological Entrepreneurship from the University of Western Ontario (Canada), which is a multidisciplinary degree integrating mechanical, electrical, civil, software, chemical and business management disciplines. He focused on Mechatronics systems design of electric vehicle and renewable energy systems. His career path has focused on technical and socio-economic frontiers of sustainable development (i.e. renewable energy systems, eco-efficiency, audits, energy modeling, GIS analysis, CAD modeling, and IT-driven sustainability solutions). He is currently pursuing LEED AP and PMP certifications.

Pranay is an outdoor enthusiast, an avid cricket player, and an aspiring photographer. He has co-led the ground-up development of a solar powered electric vehicle with a team of over 40 engineering students, and traveled from Canada to Australia to participate in the 2007 World Solar Challenge – a 3021 km solar car race across the Outback dessert.

Hussam Daoud

Mr. Hussam Daoud is a self-motivated and hardworking employee in TerraVertis. He and Mr. Ziad Shaban have recently designed an efficient recycling solution for Jordan University of Science and Technology and they are currently working on achieving an operative and feasible plan for a national recycling project.

Since joining Terra Vertis, Mr. Hussam has been a member in the R&D team responsible for researching and compiling a social program with the intent of bringing together a custom knowledgebase that is relevant to Jordan. He also was a member in the development team of the open-source web platform (available at ecoschools.terravertis.com).

Mr. Hussam Daoud was a representative of TerraVertis and an exhibitor in SRTD (the Support to Research and Technological Development and Innovation Initiatives and Strategies in Jordan) final conference and exhibition.

 

Ziad Shaban

It became obvious that Mr. Ziad Shaban is a genuine sustainability thinker when, in the age of 17, he created and implemented the first Jordanian Youth-run Environmental Court, a project that acquired the attention of the Jordanian government and media. He also volunteered in (JREDS: Jordan Marine Conservation Society) for two years.

Recently, Mr. Ziad Shaban has, in partnership with Mr. Hussam Daoud, designed a waste management system for Jordan University of Science and Technology that, in case of being built, can be both functional and profitable. Since then, Mr. Ziad and Mr. Hussam have been planning to develop an efficient national recycling system.

Mr. Ziad Shaban is now a member of TerraVertis’ R&D team. He has been directly involved in researching social and behavioural solutions to develop and maintain a sustainable education knowledge base. He has also been part of the development team of TerraVertis’ public domain initiative (ecoschools.terravertis.com).

On the technical level, Mr. Ziad Shaban has been involved in the reporting of technical solutions for waste management systems in some of TerraVertis projects.
